Tuesday October 21, 2025 at 8:30 PM, we return to the Bacaro Fiorentino in Florence for a new chapter of Stories in Tasting. It will be an evening dedicated to a territory that surprises: the Mugello, cradle of history and nature, now ready to tell its story also through its wines.
For centuries this valley has preserved the Medici villas and country houses, with vines growing lush at the foot of the Apennines. But the real turning point came with the introduction of the Pinot Noir, a noble grape variety that found an ideal habitat here thanks to the cool climate, strong temperature variations, and mineral-rich soils. A happy meeting that has transformed the Mugello into one of the most interesting areas of the new Tuscan wine region, capable of producing refined reds, elegant bubbles, and even characterful passito wines.
In collaboration with ProViMu – Association of Wine Producers of Mugello, we will discover labels that hold the soul of this still little-known territory, but rich in promises and emotions. It will be a journey of tastings and stories, designed to give voice to producers and enhance the strength of an identity that is establishing itself with growing authority.
Because Retrogusti is this: to bring to light the flavors you don't expect, to introduce the hidden nuances of food and wine, and to turn every story into an experience to share together.
